Devil's Punch Bowl #1
The Devil's Punch Bowl in Stoney Creek Ontario, along the Bruce Trail. The colourful layers of rocks that form the stunning gorge showcases two waterfalls which are mostly trickles until the spring.​​
Ever since I laying eyes on layers of rock that are often found by waterfalls, (in my teen years) I was mesmerized by the shapes, shadows, and the colours. I have never seen rock as boring grey ever again!
The curvature of the rock face depending on your perspective is ever changing.
My "Devil's Punch Bowl" collection already has 3 pieces, and I have many more planned for this subject. This one was completed using acrylic paint, pallet knife, and oil pens. It measures 12" x 16" x 1" on stretched canvas.
​In every painting I aim to create something special somewhere in the art. This one, for me, is the deep reds and blues in the rock face. I really enjoyed this one!​

About Me
My name is Anne Robichaud
A pleasure to meet you!
​I was born in northern New Brunswick, Canada. My family moved southern Ontario as a child.
As a self-taught artist, I work mostly in acrylic paint as well as mixed media.
My artistic journey explores the intersection of impressionism and abstract expressionism, often focusing on the majesty and beauty of trees and landscapes.
Nature has always left me in awe, and I strive to convey the emotions of our connection to it, our part in it and of it.
I love to create with colour, texture and contrast to produce something special in every artwork.
I will be adding a section for works in progress and an inspiration section in the near future.
